Theodore Mann aka Theodore Goldman

Theatrical producer and director; co-founder (with Jose Quintero) and artistic director of Circle in the Square Theater and School -- via the New York Times. He championed the plays of Williams, McNally and Shanley; his groundbreaking production of "The Iceman Cometh" persuaded O'Neill's widow to allow him to stage the playwright's late work, most notably "Long Day's Journey Into Night." He also regularly staged classics.

He demanded that American theater have a broad range, depth and versatility -- an approach which strongly influenced my studies as a writer and performer. I am proud to have attended his school and been part of that tradition!
