Owner of the iconic folk showcase The Bitter End; helped to produce the film "Woodstock"; pioneered the release of martial arts films in the U.S. as well -- via the New York Times.A personal note: the cover of Peter, Paul and Mary's debut album was shot on the stage at the Bitter End, and was a big part of my childhood. I knew I would ONLY be a legit performer once I worked in some dank basement club in front of a brick wall. Years later, I found myself on stage at Denver's Comedy Works, in front of what was at the time undressed stone foundation wall. Mission accomplished.
