Actor -- via the Guardian. A gifted and versatile comic actor who will be best remembered for his long-running role as Captain Peacock in the BBC sticom "Are You Being Served?". He also appeared in many classical roles, as well as films such as "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," "The Bed-Sitting Room," Lester's "Three Musketeers," and "Gosford Park."
