Documentary filmmaker -- via the New York Times. One of my all-time favorite filmmakers, he covered the subjects he wanted to cover in the way in which he wanted to cover them. The result: lots of delightful films including "Garlic Is As Good As 10 Mothers," "Gap-Toothed Women," "Werner Herzog Eats His Shoe," "Burden of Dreams," "I Went to the Ball," "Always for Pleasure," and many, many others!
