Gilbert Kaplan
Conductor of Mahler's Second Symphony -- via the Telegraph. After making a fortune in financial publishing, Kaplan chose to specialize in the study and performance of Mahler's Second Symphony, the "Ressurection." I did see and hear him conduct it once -- it was a fine privilege!
