Masterful cinematographer -- via Variety. Not as celebrated as he didn't have a "look" -- instead, he made it look like YOU wanted. The result? Short list, emphasis on variety: (oh by the way he filmed the invasion of Poland in 1939! Right place, right time) "Dead of Night," "Kind Hearts and Coronets," "The Lavender Hill Mob," "The Man in the White Suit," "Circus of Horrors," "The L-Shaped Room," "The Servant," "The Fearless Vampire Killers," "The Lion in Winter," the original "Italian Job," "The Music Lovers," "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Rollerball," "Julia," and the first three Indiana Jones movies. Not bad.
