Songwriter and singer -- via the Memphis Commercial Appeal. AKA Bonny Rice. A marvelous creator who wrote "Mustang Sally," and co-wrote "Respect Yourself." A mainstay of the immortal Stax label, he also wrote wonderful but as-yet uncelebrated songs such as "Money Talks," "Do the Funky Penguin, Pt. 1," "Cheaper to Keep Her," "Tina the Go-Go Queen," "Bump Meat," "Santa Claus Wants Some Lovin'," and many more.
