Joan Carroll

Outstanding child actress -- via the Hollywood Reporter. AKA Joan Felt. For crying out loud, she's the kid Bing Crosby sings "Aren't You Glad You're You?" to in The Bells of St. Mary's. From 1938 to 1945, she made several strong appearances -- on film in Primrose Path, Obliging Young Lady, Petticoat Larceny, Meet Me in St. Louis, and The Bells of St. Mary's, as well as starring in the original Broadway production of Cole Porter's  Ethel Merman vehicle Panama Hattie in 1940.
