Mike Connors
Actor on film and in TV; best know n for playing detective Joe Mannix from 1967 to 1975 -- via . AKA Gregor Ohanian, 'Touch' Connors. He started with a small role in the 1952 Joan Crawford noir "Sudden Fear," He got his first big break with the 1959 series "Tightrope." Then he landed "Mannix," and played the regular-guy private eye who gets beaten up a lot and whose old Korean war buddies keep coming back wanting to kill him for one reason or another. A fun, if predictable, show. Mannix was a badass, and his secretary Peggy was black so we knew he was down with the brothers.
