A cinematic special-effects master from Spain -- via El Pais. Almost 300 credits in a career that stretched 44  years, from 1973 until now. A winner of NINE Goya awards for work in classic Spanish films such as "Women on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown," "Ay, Carmela!", "Abre los Ojos," "The Devil's Backbone," "Pan's Labyrinth," "The Last Circus," "The Skin I Live In," "Blancanieves," and even Terry Gilliam's forthcoming "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote."
