Steve Beshekas was my friend and the friend of many regular folks, celebs, and musicians. He befriended John Belushi soon after high school. They both attended the College of DuPage together. Steve was one of John's pallbearers at his funeral. John Belushi and Dan Ayroyd had him run a secret hideaway bar near Second City in Chicago called the Sneak Joint. It opened just before the filming of The Blues Brothers. He also ran the U.S. Blues Bar after after that. He played the drums in a couple bands and worked in a couple other bars such as Ranalli's. He had a kind soul and loved to make people laugh. R.I.P.
