Williamson was much more of an extraordinary stage actor, doing remarkable turns in "Hamlet," "Macbeth," "Inadmissible Evidence," and "I Hate Hamlet." Plagued by passions and problems onstage and off, his great work has yet to be fully appreciated. A splendid and intense performer.
