Legendary country singer and songwriter -- via CNN. AKA the Southern Gentleman, James Hugh Loden. He had an insane 16 straight #1 singles on the Billboard charts. He had 21 albums in the top 10 from 1964 to 1976. His first big hit, "Young Love" in 1956, was the first country hit to cross over to pop. From "Running Bear" to "You're the Only World I Know" to "Take Good Care of Her," Sonny James was the sound of country for people of a certain age.
