Kay Starr
Star vocalist of the 1950's -- via the New York Times. AKA Katherine Starks. Her biggest hit was "Wheel of Fortune" in 1952. She started as a country singer but could handle almost any genre of music, with a powerful, passionate delivery. Great, underappreciated blues singer.
