Jean Rouverol

Actress on film and radio, screenwriter, and writer for TV, biographer, and memoirist -- via the Hollywood Reporter. She had an amazing life. Her  debut film was one of W.C. Fields' best -- she played the daughter in "It's a Gift" (1934). She spent time playing Betty Carter, the wife of youngest Barbour Jack on radio's popular "One Man's Family" soap. Her career as a screenwriter was sidetracked by the Blacklist (she was a Communist) but she published through fronts. She later wrote extensively for TV soap operas, and authored other works.
