Monte Otto

Music teacher -- via Greeley Area Obituaries. Hey, he wasn't famous, but he was an important person. He was one of our two vocal music teachers in high school, but he was one of a kind, loved music passionately, and made us love it too. Plus he let us get away with all kinds of crazy stuff (OK, maybe we just never told him). His door was always open, as we had made keys early on and were always borrowing audio equipment to make comedy and music with. He was a big ham, and one of the singers at the fabled Mario's (fellow ancient Denverites will remember it fondly, a spaghetti joint and local theater hangout "where they sing while you dine" downstairs at 18th and Tremont). We had fun! Thanks, Mr. Otto!
