Bob Dorough

Pianist, singer, composer, songwriter, arranger, and producer -- via The Wrap. He is best remembered for writing 22 of and performing many of TV's "Schoolhouse Rock" songs -- "Three is a Magic Number," "My Hero Zero," and "Conjunction Junction" among them (the last voiced by Jack Sheldon). However, he was a killer performer, with many fine albums to his name. In particular, the hard-to-find 1966 Just About Everything is a near-perfect record. He also wrote the lyrics for "Comin' Home Baby," creating a hit for Mel Torme. His sense of swing is impeccable, and his idiosyncratic vocalizing is deeply felt under a casual delivery.
