Actor -- via legacy.com. At the age of 101, Sam could look back on an amazing, two-tiered career. In his teens, he had acted with Gielgud in that gentleman's "Hamlet" (1934) and "Romeo and Juliet" (1935). After much work on stage, he fought in WWII, and took a 40-year break from acting, running an antiques shop in the interim. Then he got the bug again and started working in stage and on film. And the prodigious Beazley took up painting as well.
